Thistle
Since the 1950's many throughout the USA have enjoyed Sandy Douglass's desiged Thistle! This fast and exciting dinghy has active fleets in these regions: Southeast, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes, California, Pacific Northwest, Texas/Mid-America.
Our lofts' roots are firmly planted in the Thistle Class, dating back to the days when John Greiner campaigned his many Thistles. John is still active having refinished a boat he built years ago #2020.
The TCA is a generational class which attracts sailors both young and old. Very active Jr. sailing can be found in the Midwest. Look for a record turnout in the Jr. National Championship this summer at North Cape!
Skip Dieball has been active in the Thistle Class for a number of years as well. He is currently campaigning #1234 and plans to help customers at all the major events in 2010! On the schedule is MWW, MWE, Great Lakes and Nationals.
