2010 Highlander Mad Plaid Regatta - Cowan Lake, OH
Dieball Sailing customers lead the way winning all races and finishing 1,3,5!

The 14 Highlanders that gathered at Cowan Lake June 12-13, 2010 were met with unstable weather conditions. The "scattered" thunderstorms stirred-up WNW winds at 8-12 mph for most of the weekend. The local Thistle Fleet provided excellent race committee running six big W-L races.
Dieball sailing customers won all six races, and took home three of the top five finishing positions. Past National Champion Bruce Busbey's Moby Dick Team won the 49th annual Mad Plaid by posting unbeatable scores of 1-4-1-2-1-1. The remaining two races were won by local fleet sailors Jamey Carey and Team Mojo with finishes of 4-1-5-1-2-6, which was good enough for overall third place. Rounding out the top five was local Mike Shayeson and company who finished fifth using the original prototype Highlander sails built in the Toledo loft in 2006.
