2010 Thistle Dixie Regatta
60+ boats gather at Atlanta Yacht Club for this spring classic! Congrats to Greg Griffin & Mark Reddaway for an impressive sweep!
Greg Griffin seems to have Lake Altoona figured out! That's a strong statement given the lake's variability in its wind. Greg, with friend Mark Reddaway, added another Dixie Regatta to his long list of regatta wins impressively sweeping the Dixie event.
This year's event wasn't easy for Greg however. His younger brother Scott was hot on his heels scoring 2,1,1 in the split fleet format. Scott Griffin teamed up with good friend Paul Abdullah and admittedly didn't think the 1st race showdown was going to decide the event!
Both teams were sporting Dieball Sailing Thistle Sails. Greg/Mark & Scott/Paul have been helping Dieball Sailing for a number of years while on the circuit. They are very quick to lend a hand and share Dieball Sailing's desire to get more boats on the race course. Thanks to these two teams for their continued support and a hearty congratulations for an impressive string of finishes!
