Year in Review - Interlake

— filed under:

For the 3rd straight year, our designs take the Interlake Class's top events! Easy to trim. Durable. Fast!

Ilake Sailing

The year started off with a great event at Davis Island in Tampa.  The Interlake Midwinters was held over a 3 day span and Interlakers found great weather!  Denny Dieball towed his #191 down and sailed a solid regatta to the the Championship.  Second place was Dieball Sailing's Ernie Dieball.  It was truly a great start with our sails finishing 1,2!

As the spring season got rolling, Dieball Sailing was busy testing an evolution to our existing shapes.  The test sails wouldn't be put into action until later in the season with intense 2-boat testing, but the spring offered us some good opportunities to see how our tweaks in entry/exit of the main would translate into point and power!

In June, as you probably know by now, we left our partners at Quantum and hung our own shingle.  As our "home town" class, the Interlake Class was one of the first to embrace and support our move.  Thanks to all our early customers for having faith in our knowledge and craftsmanship!

The Nationals at Traverse City was a huge success.  Skip Dieball teamed up with Jeff Eiber and won the Nationals with impressive speed on all points of sail.  Skip noted that his downwind advantage was significant and this was music to designer, Rick Rothenbuhler's ears.  Our downwind shapes have been revamped and you should do yourself a favor and check one out!

We are looking forward to a great 2010.  Thanks again to the ISCA for their continued support of Dieball Sailing!
